On Thursday, July 24, 2025, Miller Meadows Flying Field became the stage for a breathtaking invasion—more than 100 drones filled the sky in perfect unison.

Chicago Aerials launched 110 drones at once, a bold test run for their upcoming night shows. Controlled by a single computer, the swarm moved autonomously, weaving shifting patterns across the heavens like a living constellation.

The first attempts were rocky—equipment glitches and GPS lock-in delays—but once airborne, the fleet lifted and landed together in an eerie, synchronized silence.
